Dr. Bagus Riyono as the President of International Association of Muslim Psychologists was invited to give lecture entitled ‘Islamic psychology as a fundamental and integrated approach in psychology’ at Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE), Russia, in October 9th, 2019.
Dr. Olga Pavlova, as the chair of the Association of Psychological Assistance to Muslims in Russia gave welcome speech for the speaker and participants. More than 40 participants attended this international lecture.
The Association of Psychological Assistance to Muslims was created in Russia on September 29th, 2017 at the first scientific-practical conference ‘Islam: psychological stability as the basis of personal and social well-being’ in Moscow. This association aims to solve the problem of applying scientific approaches to the psychological counselling in Islamic paradigm for Muslim populations in Russia. It also welcomes the development of Islamic Psychology as a way to solve challenges in living together as a society, with its complex structures, differences, interactions, and problems.
