The urgency of psychology towards Islamic Psychology is getting stronger with the global phenomena that compromise Muslim society. These include ideas that are different from the Islamic teachings, lifestyles, or psychological practices that distance humans from their essence. Professor Malik Badri is the founding father of modern Islamic Psychology. He has generated works that are important for psychologists in carrying out their roles in society. His works need to be passed on, especially in terms of his spirit to do the practice of Islamic Psychology and develop knowledge of Islamic Psychology. This spirit needs to be passed on so that the effort of Muslim psychologists and psychologists around the world can be further expanded, especially its benefits for mankind. In the end, this effort is hoped to make the knowledge produced and the practice of psychology that is carried out as a way for humans to get closer to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
International Association of Muslim Psychologists (IAMP), as an international association of Muslim psychologists, strives to realize these ideals through scientific forums, one of which is The 6th International Association of Muslim Psychologist (IAMP) Conference 2022. This conference aims to bring together psychologists and psychological scientists around the world to share knowledge about Islamic Psychology. In addition, this conference also aims to strengthen international Muslim networks to work together in the field of psychology. In February 2022, IAMP will hold a special conference commemorating Professor Malik Badri and his legacy after one year of his passing.
