 January 9, 2020

International Association of Muslim Psychologists signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Islamic Science and Research Academy (ISRA) at the Mission of Hope’s Australian Muslim Mental Health Conference in Sydney. Dr. Bagus Riyono as the current President of International Association of Muslim Psychologists signed the agreement with the founder of ISRA, Prof. Mehmet Ozalp. Prof. Mehmet Ozalp said that the aim of this collaboration is to solve Muslim issues in Australia and in many parts of the world.

This agreement covers three things: (1) design and delivery of the Graduate Certificate in Islamic Psychology course through Charles Sturt University, (2) conduct research on mental health and well-being from an Islamic perspective and in relation to Muslims, and (3) organize a biannual conference on Islamic Psychology.

This collaboration was historically important for the development of Islamic-based research on psychology, especially in Australia.
